I am very happy to be speaking at this event, you can hear my talk between 11.45 - 12.30 where there is also allocated time for Q&A.
My talk is titled Moving Forwards Knowing it wasn’t You, I’ll discuss how the therapy room can become your safe space to confront those abusive messages you struggle to leave behind. Perpetrators of domestic abuse use emotional and psychological manipulation and intimidation to get you thinking the abuse is your fault, that no-one else will love you and you don’t deserve any better; these messages are damaging in the moment and can stop many women believing they are worth and capable of a healthy relationship in the future - Stella and friends know this is not true - join us and learn for yourself.
